Andersons Country Manor Vintage Wedding

Posted by on Oct 7, 2011 in Outdoor Weddings, Spotlight, Wedding Ideas | 0 comments

Anderson’s Country Manor was the perfect setting for a Spring Vintage Themed Wedding. The bride was stunning in her form fitting bridal silk gown with details like her hand tied rose bouquet that was adorned with her great grand mother’s vintage cameo. Her feathered fascinator and rhinestone shoes polished off the look.  The groom and his grooms men wore matching tuxes in black and turquoise.  The ceremony was held in a backdrop of green under our gazebo adorned with sheers and antique shutters. Harpist VeeRonna Ragone provided a beautiful rendition of “Marry Me” by Train for the couple’s wedding march. The couple’s photo session at Anderson’s Country Manor included some breathtaking shots in our 2 acre orange grove.

The reception included touches of antiques from books, an old type writer, bird cages, clocks and succulents. The dessert table filled with cupcakes, brownies and lemon bites was a hit with the kids. The couple decided to go low key and brought in barbecue and homemade root beer. The night was finished off with a Barn Dance to the music of “Take Cover”.  Guests went home with Smores Bags filled with Chocolate, Grahams and Marshmallows. It was a beautiful day and magical night for Ross and Carey.  Thank you to all the vendors Hootie Hoo Photography, Take Cover, and Hey Bartender.

Becky & Greg January 22, 2011

Posted by on Feb 10, 2011 in Spotlight | 0 comments

Becky and Greg Kinsey were married on January 22, 2011.  There story begins as work mates.  They met each other briefly in May 2010, because Becky is in Human Resources and Greg was a new hire. So Becky had the upper hand in that she knew more about him than he did her. There eyes met a few times and comments abounded.  Was she single? But their first date did not happen until August 14, 2010.

Becky is born and raised in Arizona and Greg was raised in Washington.  He moved here with his best friend to work with his Father.  His friend moved back, but Greg stayed and lucky for Becky, because they met and fell in love.  Becky had found her “cowboy”.  Greg is an accomplished Roper, and has participated at a number of rodeos.  He evidently was successful in”roping” his gal.

Becky enjoys hanging out with her friends, many of them since high school. She has has dabbled in graphic design, crafts and artistic endeavors. She is self taught in areas of legal matters and has blossomed with many many talents.

Becky and Greg chose Anderson’s County Manor for their ceremony and reception, with touches of Country Chic; guests were treated to scrumptious food and “cookies and milk”. Specifically Chips A’hoy; Greg and Becky’s favorite.

Becky wore a gorgeous cream colored strapless gown, and hiding underneath it all was her “pink” cowboy boots.  It was a lovely afternoon wedding under the sprawling branches of an old tree will sheer billows of white chiffon and sparkling butterflies enveloping a bridal arch where they said their ” I do’s”

Preparing For Your Outdoor Wedding

Posted by on Nov 17, 2010 in Outdoor Weddings, Spotlight | Comments Off

One of the most picturesque weddings imaginable is a gorgeous spring day, with flowers blooming everywhere, out in the gardens in the brilliant sunlight. Outdoor weddings can be beautiful, amazing affairs, but there is a lot that goes into planning and preparing for an outdoor wedding. Make sure you consider all of the options and what goes into having an outdoor wedding and think about these things when you make your final decision.

Time of Year

There are a few factors that go into this consideration. The first is temperature. You don’t want a day that is too hot, or a day that is too cold. You don’t want guests freezing and shivering during your ceremony, but you also don’t want them sweating the whole time either. In most climates spring and early fall are the best time to have you wedding, but depending on your location that can differ. If you are further north a summer wedding might be perfectly enjoyable, and if you’re further south a wedding in the later fall might be what you want. Also take into consideration the precipitation in your area. Although you certainly can’t control if it rains, in some places during some seasons it’s more likely than others. Become familiar with your local weather.

Location

There are many places that you can have an outdoor wedding, but make sure you pick a place that best accommodates your needs. While a backyard wedding might seem quaint, if you are planning on inviting hundreds of people it might not be realistic. The Farmhouse is a private country estate situated on four acres of manicured grounds and over 300 citrus and shade trees and a feeling of a  park-like atmosphere. Our spacious facility has glimmering outdoor lighting gazebo, and vine covered arches in the gardens. We can accomidate parties from 20 up to 200 guests.

Always Have a Back-Up Plan

If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, no matter how much research you do and how well you plan, there is always a chance that mother nature might interfere in some way. Whether it is excessive heat, a thunderstorm, or even unexpected snow, make sure you have an alternative. The best alternative is to have an indoor location available. Perhaps it’s another property owned by the place that you are renting your outdoor space from. You could also go with tents for you wedding, which will cover you in case of rain. Just keep in mind that you’ll need big tents with plenty of space, because guests seated at the edge of the tents may just get a shower they don’t want if there’s wind that day.
